Park B. Smith
A textile entrepreneur, Park B. Smith is one of the world’s great wine collectors with over 70,000 bottles housed in 6 temperature-controlled underground cellars. This collection formed the major part of the wines offered at Veritas, which opened in 1998 and quickly became known as having the finest wine list in the United States.
Park B. Smith won the inaugural Copia Award for his collection. Although he owns some of the world’s most prized wines, his personal favorites are from Châteauneuf-du-Pape, where he was named honorary mayor.
