Park B. Smith is one of the world's great collectors of wine as witnessed by his receiving the first COPIA award in 2005 which recognized the finest wine collection in the United States. Through out a lifetime of collecting, Park has forged friendships with vintners and winemakers in Bordeaux, the Napa Valley, the California Central Coast, the Rhone, Spain and elsewhere. His focus on the best that these regions have to offer has culminated in a collection that is a benchmark of quality and depth.
His relationship with the producers has enabled him to amass highly sought after vintages including many large format bottlings. Because Park's collection has been largely acquired directly from the wineries, their provenance is impeccable. Meticulous attention to detail has ensured that the wines in his collection have been kept in pristine condition within the confines of six state-of-the-art cellars that cover over 7,200 square feet.
